The Real World

When I was little, I remember wanting to grow up as fast as I could so I could drive cars, play in the NBA, and marry Mandy Moore. Now college is over. The real world has come. I am definitely still looking forward to this new chapter in my life, but the mystique and glory that it once held is definitely not there anymore.

Work is approaching fast and soon, as it's already August. What did I do with my whole summer? Everyone went off on grand adventures to faraway lands, partying it up, and I spent this summer saving? When I was little, money did not have any real meaning to me, I had no idea that practically everythign cost money. My GIJoe action figures, my Optimus Prime Transformer, or even my prized Sesame Street Model Set. Since this past year, I have attempted to be financially independent, it has truly been a test and a new learning experience that has defintiely made me approach life differently.

As August is approaching faster and faster, I have decided to make a vow to myself to live up life to the fullest from this point forward. Of course, being responsible at times is just a necessary part of growing older, but it should not be how I should be defined. I will attempt to cleanse my life of the bad relationships that you sometimes have, and strengthen the bonds that I do have. Thus, I hope this creates a surrounding atmosphere of happiness, support, and camaraderie and will lead to great things.

In the meantime...here are a few get rich quick strategies: ESPN Streak for Cash, Bank of America stock rising to $2000/share, or working on my bod to marry rich.
